Here’s how it works:
- We’ll email you before your certification expires with everything you need to know
- If no course modules have changed, your certification will auto-renew, and we’ll send your updated ID card and certificate
- If there are new or updated modules (that you haven’t yet done), you’ll need to complete and pass these on the Academy platform to keep your certification active. Don’t worry, we’ll send you a link directly to them

How Renewal Works
Your merchant certification lasts 12 months. To keep it active, at least two current employees need to be certified:
- One in a management position
- One working on the counter or shop floor
Here’s the process:
- We’ll email you before renewal with everything you need to know
- If the training course hasn’t changed and your certified staff members are still working for you, your team’s certification will auto-renew, updated certificates will be issued and your Certified Merchant Status will continue for the next 12 months
- If there are new or updated modules, your certified staff will need to complete and pass these online to keep your certification active or new qualifying team members can undertake the entire certified training programme (there is no limit to how many employees can take the training – the more, the better!)
